Trump’s boarish handshakes are like nothing I’ve ever seen before. He zeros in, grabs the hand, and proceeds in yanking their arm right off. Alright, not really, but it looks pretty close to that. Except for his handshake with his BFF Putin.
He appears to have shaken Putin’s hand normally. Then there’s today. Trump is in Paris and he met with the French President and his wife. When Trump goes in to yank…I mean…shake the French first lady’s, Brigitte Macron, arm it just goes downhill from there.
Her arm is so tiny and he just keeps pulling it and pulling it. It was domineering to say the least. He should’ve treated her with elegance and respect.
As if this wasn’t enough to embarrass the US, Trump truly trumps himself again. They’re supposed to making small talk or peasantries with one another, but you guessed it, Trump screwed that up too. He goes on to objectify Ms. Macron by commenting on her body type.
He seems to try to make it seem less creepy by turning to President Macron and asserting the “good shape” comment again. Who on earth hired this man to be the representative of the US? He goes on in his sexist little comment to claim that “her good shape is beautiful.” If Ms. Macron were a large lady what would Trump have said then? Perhaps he would’ve refused a handshake since that would be beneath him. You know since he’s in such great shape himself…a gift to women (I just threw up a little in my mouth there).
Trump needs to realize how inappropriate his actions are and behave accordingly! Women are not just objects. We were not placed on this earth for men’s enjoyment. Women are extremely important to all functions of the World! Oh Lord, my feminist self could rant and rave over this for hours, but we’re here about that ridiculous handshake.
Trump, your handshake is NOT proving your manhood or your power to others. It is doing the exact opposite. There are other ways of showing that America is the best. Yanking peoples arms off is not one of them! Slow your roll on those cray cray handshakes! Stop trying to overpower everyone you meet. Most of those people are America’s friends and allies – treat them as so! If you need a reminder on how to shake hands civilly, just remember how you shook your bromance’s hand.
