Donald Trump is right about one thing, the emails on Anthony Weiner’s laptop are a bigger scandal than Watergate because there must be evidence of congressional collusion to affect this election. Nothing else could explain why FBI Directory Comey sent out such a vaguely worded letter, which in turn allowed GOP Representative Jeff Chaffetz to leak info in such a way to the media to put us in the situation America is in now. There is much more proof of that happening than finding anything in Anthony Weiner’s internet practices.
This is the same congressman who just two days before Comey’s partisan bombshell came out with a statement claiming that the House of Representatives were planning years of investigations into the Clintons before she was even elected. It does not take a political scientist to figure out there must be a connection.
Everyone knows about the previous investigations, the ones that found no criminal wrongdoing while setting a precedent for the GOP to use hearings on Capitol Hill to persuade public opinion regarding Hillary Clinton before her presidential election run. Two republican congressmen came out and said the hearings were about hurting her reputation. That statement was by Rep. Richard Hanna, R-New York who was referring to Rep. Kevin McCarthy, R-California who had previously commented that it was about hurting her in the polls.
Hanna and McCarthy flat out admitted their goal. And most should see that Chaffetz recent actions, along with Rep. Trey Gowdy, R-South Carolina’s performance in the Benghazi hearings were all about the same thing. If you think this stops at the actions of the four congressmen directly listed here, then I have some oceanfront property I would like to sell you in Kansas. There have been statements flying out saying Americans don’t ‘have a clue’ how hard the GOP pushed the FBI to attack Clinton and that Comey was bowing down to the Republican pressure. I am willing to bet those were referring to more than just the four Members of the House mentioned above.
So back to how I claim this all has a silver lining. I want to see a congressional hearing into everything related to these types of shenanigans. It is clear that there is enough evidence to take a closer look into those politically motivated ulterior motives. After all, millions of taxpayers dollars have been used in these public relations stunts. Investigating the emails and correspondence by the parties involved would put partisan politics on blast. These people were not sent to Washington D.C. to placate their party’s agenda regarding political infighting. They were sent there to figure out a way to come together and work with one another for the common good of everyone in the United States.
